This week we headed to the Everett Skate Deck to have some roller skating fun! Located in Everett the Everett Skate Deck has been providing skating fun since 1961 and I must say we had some great family fun!
Right now, they are doing several 1 hour and 20-minute long skating sessions per day and each session is at 10% capacity or 100 people. Tickets must be purchased online and then you present your e-ticket upon arrival. Tickets were $13.00 each if you needed to rent skates and $11.00 if you brought your own skates. Masks are required, they ask that you social distance, there are hand sanitizer stations around and they do sanitize skates in between skating sessions. As I was skating, I never felt like I was crowded into a small space; there was plenty of space to keep my distance from others. They also have lots of places to sit for break time.

My daughter had been the only one of us that had skated anytime within the last five years. This was my son's first-time roller skating and I hadn't roller skated in, oh my, 30 years. I had wondered if it was like riding a bike. At first, I thought no way is it like riding a bike, I just wasn't getting it, then slowly it all started coming back to me and I am happy to say that I didn't fall down once. My kids fell down many times, but they still enjoyed every single minute. It was nice to do something that we have never experienced together as a family; something new and different.
We will be going to a new destination for this week's Friday Funday. Be sure to follow us on Instagram to see where we will be!
