What is it all about?

The Jr. Ranger Adventure Guide offers an immersive journey into the heart of nature. Dive into the enchanting world of wildlife, ecosystems, and Leave No Trace principles as you embark on a self-guided exploration through the county park's stunning landscapes.

How does it work?

Becoming a certified Jr. Park Ranger is simple and fun! Follow these steps to embark on your wilderness adventure:

  1. Get your booklet: Download and print the Jr. Ranger Adventure Guide or pick up a copy at the ranger station at Flowing Lake Park. With your adventure guide in hand, you're ready to begin your exploration. You can fill out the booklet at your own pace.
  2. Learn and explore: Dive into the pages of your adventure guide and discover fascinating facts about the Snohomish ecosystem. Take to the trails and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature as you complete the designated activities. Snohomish County's park system is full of thousands of acres of open space, over 100 county parks, 100's of miles of trails, and 34 miles of shoreline, so there is plenty to explore.

3. Turn in your completed booklet: Once you've filled out the pages of your adventure guide, visit the ranger station at Flowing Lake            Park. Hand in your completed booklet to one of the friendly park rangers, who will verify your achievements and certify you as an official      Snohomish County Jr. Park Ranger!

4. Celebrate your success: Celebrate your newfound status as a Jr. Park Ranger with pride! Choose from a selection of prizes as a token    of appreciation for completing the challenge, and share your adventures with friends and family.
