Lake Stevens residents now have a new, convenient way to get around town with the launch of Community Transit’s Zip Shuttle, an on-demand shared ride service. This pilot program provides a flexible and affordable transportation option for local travel, making it easier than ever to run errands, get to appointments, or connect with other transit services.
What is the Zip Shuttle?
The Zip Shuttle is an innovative transit service that allows riders to book a shared ride within the designated Lake Stevens service area. Instead of waiting at a bus stop, passengers can schedule a pickup through the Zip Shuttle app or by calling (833) DIAL-ZIP (342-5947).
Affordable and Accessible
One of the standout features of the Zip Shuttle is its affordability. The fare structure is simple:
- Adults (19-64): $2.50 per ride
- Youth (18 & younger): FREE
- ORCA LIFT / Reduced Fare: $1.25 per ride
Passengers can pay using an ORCA card, debit or credit card, or cash (exact change required). ORCA card users can also take advantage of a two-hour transfer window, allowing for multiple trips or connections to other regional transit options.
Service Hours & Availability
The Zip Shuttle operates seven days a week from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering a reliable transportation solution throughout the day. Whether you need a ride to work, a doctor’s appointment, or just want to explore town, Zip is available when you need it.
How to Book a Ride
Booking a ride is quick and easy:
- Download the Zip Shuttle app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Call (833) DIAL-ZIP (342-5947) to schedule a ride over the phone.
Once a ride is booked, passengers will receive pickup details, and a Zip Shuttle vehicle will arrive at their designated location.
